Coaching
My first coaching experience with Mark Pearson was as a 12 year old and now 10 years on he knows my swing and my game as well as anyone.
Mark has been a PGA Professional for over 20 years. He graduated from the PGA Training Academy with distinctions in all subjects and gained a Titleist Footjoy Scholarship in the Trainee of the Year awards in 1989. After a number of years competing in regional and national events he settled on a career in coaching. He has held positions as Club Professional at Dore and Totley and Cookridge Hall Golf Clubs in his native Yorkshire before becoming Academy Manager and Head Teaching Professional at the world renowned De Vere Belfry.
In addition he has been coach to Yorkshire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire Golf Unions and is currently coach to a number of PGA European Tour Professionals. Mark is now the Head Teaching Professional at De Vere Oulton Hall just outside of Leeds.
In addition Mark has made many contributions to the golfing media, these include television work for Sky 'World of Golf', The Golf Channel, a contributing Professional for Today's Golfer magazine and most recently commentary on Sky Sports. He is active in both the corporate and golf holiday markets, doing clinics and golf schools for countless 'blue chip' companies.
Mark has developed his reputation as a no nonsense 'Players Coach' where the only goal is to develop the individuals game. Since being reunited with Mark my scores have seen a vast improvement and I am positive that Mark will help to ensure my golf continues to develop at a rapid pace.
